NIS America and Happinet have announced that a demo for the strategy RPG Brigandine: Abyss will arrive on the Switch 2 eShop on 30th July 2026, ahead of the full game's launch in August. The demo gives players an early chance to try the tactical title before committing to a purchase.

The demo covers the first two seasons of the "Gran Dragnica and Scarlet Will" campaigns, letting players follow either Largo, who investigates why dragons are turning evil, or Garnet, who resists the Abyssloa Empire. Gameplay involves recruiting monsters, sending troops on quests and planning attacks in an Organisation Phase before hexagonal grid-based battles in an Invasion Phase. Save data will not carry over to the full release, so the opening segment must be replayed. A physical "multi-language" cart is planned for some regions, alongside a Limited Edition featuring a Game-Key Card, art book, soundtrack, cloth map, pins and figures.
