To mark Super Mario's 40th anniversary, Nintendo is releasing a commemorative pin collection available through select retail partners. The set comprises four character pins representing different instalments in the franchise—Giga Cat Mario, Tanooki Mario, Propeller Mario, and Mario & Luma—along with the official 40th anniversary logo.

This release continues Nintendo's multi-faceted anniversary efforts, which have featured re-released Galaxy games on Switch, expanded content for existing titles, new amiibo figures, and a theatrical film adaptation released earlier this year. The company previously distributed a similar pin collection through its official store, following merchandise traditions established during the franchise's 35th anniversary celebration.
