Pocketpair, the developer of Palworld, has warned players that running the game with mods installed could "cause issues" once the survival title reaches its 1.0 release. As a precaution, the studio is recommending that players uninstall each of their mods individually before applying the update, in order to avoid potential conflicts, crashes or other problems that can arise when older modifications are left in place across a major version change.

The advice reflects a common situation with mod-supported games, where third-party modifications built for earlier builds are not guaranteed to remain compatible after a significant update. By clearing out mods ahead of the 1.0 launch, players are more likely to experience a stable version of the game, and can then reinstall updated mods once modders have had time to bring them in line with the new release.
