Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, the creative duo behind the cult sketch series "Portlandia", are reuniting to host a rewatch podcast about the show. Titled "Podlandia: A-O Rewatch", the series is produced by Will Ferrell's Big Money Players network — a joint venture with iHeartMedia — and launches across all podcast platforms on 16 July. The project revives one of American comedy's best-known partnerships and offers fans a behind-the-scenes look at a show that ran for eight seasons.

Each week the pair will revisit episodes of the IFC series, which ran for 77 episodes and satirised the hipster culture of Portland, Oregon. Guests will include cast members such as Kyle MacLachlan, who played the Mayor, musician Aimee Mann and the show's director and co-creator Jonathan Krisel. Armisen and Brownstein both spoke warmly of reuniting, with Brownstein framing the podcast as a continuation of the show's conversations about community, place and performance, and Armisen saying that rewatching made him genuinely laugh. It joins other Big Money Players titles including "The Ron Burgundy Podcast" and "Las Culturistas".
