Adventures Of Elliot Patch Lets You Remove The Incessant Voice Support
Square Enix has released a new patch for its role-playing game The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, most notably adding an option to fully disable the support character voices. The feature had been a significant source of frustration for players since launch, with many complaining about the frequent, high-pitched hints, so the change represents Square Enix responding directly to community feedback.
The update is currently available on Steam, with the developer promising to bring it to consoles as soon as possible. Alongside the voice toggle, the patch adjusts tutorial behaviour, fixes frame-rate drops that occurred on some setups when the character Faie is present, and applies minor bug fixes. Despite the voice complaints, the game has otherwise been well received, earning an 8/10 from Nintendo Life, which praised its HD-2D art direction, its seamless shift between turn-based and action combat, and its emotional story, while noting performance issues on Switch 2.
