Fantasy action-RPG Soulframe is open to all players for a limited time, with a new dark progression path, wolf mounts, and a Warsongs origin quest on the way
Soulframe, the action-RPG from Warframe's Digital Extremes, is launching a series of new features during an open-access period through mid-July. The updates include the Vadagar progression path, which allows players to adopt the perspective of the Ode—the game's primary antagonists—through new combat abilities, mounts, and weapons. A new questline called Warsongs will explore the player character's origins and introduce an antagonist named Tempest Bayor.
The game emphasises a lighthearted ecological narrative where players encounter and rescue creatures whilst avoiding depictions of animal harm. The Vadagar path particularly reflects this design philosophy, allowing players to align with the Ode's goals without permanently locking them out of alternative playstyles. Digital Extremes is positioning the updates as part of the game's ongoing pre-release development, with players gaining access either through the open sign-up window or via a purchasable Founder's pack.
