Bob Dylan's touring band continues to cycle through guitarists, with Memphis-based rhythm and blues musician J. Jad Tariq joining the ensemble for a July 10 performance at Cincinnati's PNC Pavilion. Tariq replaced Julian Lage, who left to honour pre-existing European tour commitments, continuing a pattern of recent personnel adjustments within the band's guitar rotation.

The touring lineup has undergone multiple changes in recent weeks as scheduling conflicts and touring obligations have required substitutions. Joel Patterson, a Chicago jazz and blues musician, was enlisted in late June to fill gaps left by Doug Lancio's departure and to cover for Lage's intermittent absences. With performances continuing across the tour, including an upcoming show in Pittsburgh, Dylan's band appears to be managing the logistics of its guitar chair through experienced session musicians.
