Indie adventure Dispatch reaches Xbox on 29 July
Developed over time first seen 2 months ago
Dispatch, an indie superhero workplace comedy that Polygon named among its best games of 2025, has arrived on Xbox with a release date of 29 July, having previously launched on other platforms. Its arrival matters because it brings one of the year's most acclaimed indie titles to Microsoft's consoles, offering a rare bright spot for Xbox owners amid a difficult stretch for the platform. The game was available to wishlist ahead of release on the Xbox Store.
Developed and published by AdHoc, a studio founded by former Telltale Games staff, Dispatch is an eight-episode, choice-driven adventure following Robert Robertson III, a former superhero who takes a dispatcher job after his mech suit is destroyed. It features a high-profile voice cast including Aaron Paul, Jeffrey Wright, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, Seán "Jacksepticeye" McLoughlin, Matthew Mercer and Alanah Pearce, several of whom appeared at a San Diego Comic-Con panel on 24 July. AdHoc also rolled out new localisation options in LATAM Spanish, Turkish, Thai, Polish and Ukrainian, which reached Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC on 15 July before arriving on Xbox alongside the console launch on 29 July.
