Fcukers Lead 2026 Independent Music Awards Nominations: See the Full List
Fcukers, a New York-based electronic duo, lead the nominations for the 2026 Independent Music Awards with three nods, according to the Association of Independent Music (AIM). The awards, which recognise musicians, labels and creators across the independent sector, will be held at London's Roundhouse on 22 September, with further categories and nominees to be announced in the coming months.
The duo are nominated for best independent album (for Ö, on Ninja Tune), best independent track (for "L.U.C.K.Y.") and independent breakthrough. Six acts follow with two nominations apiece, including Jorja Smith, Nova Twins and Romy, while the label Young leads with five nominations overall, ahead of XL Recordings and Ninja Tune with four each. AIM chief executive Gee Davy said the shortlist reflected the "broad spectrum of success and authenticity" in the UK's independent music scene, with public voting still open for the best live performer and best independent record store categories. Last year's ceremony saw Fontaines D.C. win best independent album and Ezra Collective take best independent track.
