Obtaining the Bioscanner requires players to venture into a Cicada Wreck located in the map's third area, accessible only after progression reveals the location of Iso's Black Box on the PDA system. Inside the wreck, a Repair Tool must be deployed to remove a blocked entrance, followed by navigation through internal passages where attention to environmental features such as floor vents and wall gaps guides explorers toward the final chamber. The Bioscanner itself sits near an exit in this terminal room, and scanning it provides the crafting blueprint enabling players to produce additional copies.
