Everything New in Hell Clock 2.0 and the Cursed War DLC
Hell Clock's free 2.0 update and the paid Cursed War DLC launched on 9 July, alongside the game's console editions, bringing substantial new content and systems to the roguelike ARPG. IGN's report focuses on the accompanying Maxroll update, which adds new guides, database updates and quality-of-life improvements to its build planner, including the ability to upload a save file and instantly share a build.
The update introduces the Journey of Nightmares, a seasonal-style system without a time-limited format, alongside an expanded Ascension endgame mode that now moves out of beta and allows players to challenge Hell Level 100. A new Endless Nightmares mode replaces the previous Abyss, Oblivion and Void endgame options with 16 tiers of randomised difficulty. Additional changes include Unique Blessings for every skill and a rework of ailments and endurance, such as doubled bleed damage, faster ignite effects and endurance damage now spread over four seconds rather than blocked outright.
