Angel Studios has released the first trailer and images for Runner, a new action thriller starring Alan Ritchson alongside Owen Wilson, directed by Scott Waugh. The film continues Ritchson's rise as a leading action star following his success in Reacher, marking his latest foray into big-screen physical action roles, this time as a former soldier caught in a high-stakes chase against a drug cartel.

The story follows Ritchson's character as he is targeted by a ruthless cartel while attempting to complete a critical medical delivery, with a child's life depending on his success and betrayal threatening him at every turn. Director Scott Waugh described the project as a "game-changer" for Angel Studios, emphasising its blend of large-scale action with emotional weight. The screenplay was written by Miles Hubley and Tommy White, with a supporting cast including Rodrigo Santoro, Leila George, Kate Box, Peta Sergeant, Geraldine Hakewill, Cecilia Toussaint and Scarlett Crabtree.
