Members of Tool, Pearl Jam, Korn, Garbage, Fugazi, Bikini Kill among artists donating to online fundraiser to help cover L7 bassist Jennifer Finch’s medical expenses following brain cancer diagnosis
Members of Tool, Pearl Jam, Korn, Garbage, Fugazi and Bikini Kill are among the musicians who have donated to a GoFundMe fundraiser set up for L7 bassist Jennifer Finch after her recent brain cancer diagnosis. The support highlights the depth of solidarity within the rock and punk community for the 59-year-old Californian musician as she undergoes treatment.
The campaign, launched on 13 July, has raised $365,382, exceeding its $350,000 target. Finch will be unable to join L7's forthcoming Last Hurrah Tour of North America later this year while she receives care, but has encouraged her bandmates to carry on without her. Funds raised will go towards covering her medical costs, including professional in-home nursing care.
