Matt Damon Is Officially Joining ‘Fortnite’ Thanks to Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’
Epic Games has launched a limited-time Fortnite tournament tied to Christopher Nolan’s forthcoming film The Odyssey, allowing players to unlock a Matt Damon-inspired Odysseus outfit before its wider sale. The crossover extends the film’s promotional campaign ahead of its 17 July 2026 cinema release and brings Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s epic into one of gaming’s largest online platforms.
The Odyssey Cup runs on 15 and 16 July across Battle Royale and Zero Build, with a separate Reload event for eligible mobile players. High-ranking regional competitors can earn Odysseus’ outfit, Xiphos pickaxe and Bow of Iphytus back bling, while 40 points unlocks the King’s Helm spray and eight points unlocks a Trojan War loading screen; the outfit is expected to reach the Item Shop after the event.
