Netflix will release Heartstopper Forever, a feature-length finale that concludes the romance between Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring after three successful series. The film marks the end of Alice Oseman’s acclaimed coming-of-age drama, which has been praised for portraying young relationships and contemporary issues affecting LGBTQ+ people.

Oseman said the finale will take a more mature and realistic approach to romance, exploring the pressures of a long-term relationship as Nick and Charlie approach adulthood. Heartstopper was an immediate success for Netflix, recording 53.46 million viewing hours in its first three weeks, while its second and third series also performed strongly.
