God Of War TV series is recasting Kratos
Amazon’s upcoming God Of War television adaptation is recasting Kratos after lead actor Ryan Hurst suffered a serious on-set injury. The change pauses production and requires already completed episodes to be remade, adding further delays to a series first announced in 2022.
Hurst reportedly tore a bicep during a stunt after filming four full episodes, and surgery means he will not recover in time for production’s planned mid-October restart. Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television have not named a replacement; Hurst had gained 40 pounds of muscle for the role and previously voiced Thor in God of War Ragnarök.
