Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas shared the story of how they first connected during an appearance on the "Hey Jonas" podcast alongside Nick's brothers, Joe and Kevin Jonas. Priyanka recalled that Nick, wary of confirming her identity, asked her to send a photo of herself looking at the camera with a visible timestamp before their relationship began, a request she found unusual but endearing.

Nick explained that he first noticed Priyanka after spotting her billboard for the ABC drama "Quantico" on Sunset Boulevard, prompting him to message her on social media; the brothers read aloud the original exchange, in which Nick asked if she would be in Los Angeles and Priyanka replied cautiously, suggesting they move to a more private channel. The pair, aged 33 and 43, went on to date, get engaged within two and a half months and marry in December 2018; they now have a four-year-old daughter, Malti Marie, and will mark their eighth wedding anniversary this December.
