Rob Lowe Strikes Marketing Partnership With Accredited Debt Relief

Variety · 1 month ago

Actor Rob Lowe has entered into a marketing partnership with Accredited Debt Relief, a company that negotiates with creditors to reduce what customers owe on credit cards, medical bills and personal loans. The campaign, launching in August, aims to destigmatise financial hardship and encourage people struggling with debt to seek support rather than suffer in silence.

One television advert features a family confronting the possibility that their son cannot continue playing baseball because they can no longer afford the fees. Lowe, known for roles in "The West Wing" and "9-1-1: Lone Star", said Americans are carrying more debt than ever and that he was glad to help tell stories reducing stigma around the issue. He has a long history of brand partnerships, including a memorable comic campaign for DirecTV about a decade ago and a past stint as a spokesperson for the Atkins Diet.
