Hunter Doohan Is on a Revenge Tour With ‘Evil Dead Burn’ and ‘Wednesday’
Actor Hunter Doohan is enjoying a career surge, starring in the newly released horror film "Evil Dead Burn" while continuing his role as Tyler Galpin in Netflix's "Wednesday," which is currently filming its third season in Ireland. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 32-year-old discussed how his path to success involved years of struggle after moving to Los Angeles in 2012, before breakthrough roles in "Truth Be Told" and "Your Honor" led to his career-defining part in "Wednesday" alongside Jenna Ortega.
"Evil Dead Burn" is the sixth instalment in the long-running horror franchise and has taken $17 million (£13 million) domestically at the box office since its release. Doohan also spoke candidly about being a gay actor who has yet to land an LGBTQ role despite repeatedly auditioning for such parts, describing his approach to taking on varied characters as "kind of my little revenge against all the straight actors taking gay roles." He also touched on his ambitions to move into directing.
