Three recognisable actors—Brett Gelman from Stranger Things, former Saturday Night Live performer Kevin Nealon, and Rob Morgan—have joined the expanding ensemble cast of Mini War, an upcoming comedy feature. The film reunites the creative team behind the stoner comedy cult classic Grandma's Boy, with Joel David Moore directing from a script by Nick Swardson and Allen Covert. The production also features Luke Wilson, Vanessa Hudgens, and Nick Swardson in leading roles.

The comedy centres on Wilson's character Joe, a laid-back stoner who unexpectedly gains ownership of a mini golf facility following his uncle's death. His plans to sell the property become complicated when Swardson's character Darren, who operates a competing go-cart facility nearby, schemes to demolish the mini golf course to expand his business. Gelman is cast as Ned Parker, an investor interested in acquiring the property, whilst Morgan portrays Ruben, the mini golf course manager. Hudgens plays Olivia, who operates a food vendor between the two attractions, with various supporting actors rounding out the eccentric ensemble.
