The Felice Brothers, a New York folk-rock band that began busking in subway stations more than two decades ago, are being honoured with a new tribute album called "Felice County Fair." The project was assembled by Brandy Schultz, a longtime supporter of the band and wife of Lumineers frontman Wesley Schultz, and features covers from a range of artists paying homage to the band's influence on the wider folk-rock scene.

Bright Eyes frontman Conor Oberst has recorded a stripped-back version of the Felice Brothers' 2008 track "Wonderful Life," praising the band's songwriting and sincerity, while the Lumineers have contributed a faithful rendition of 2019's "The Kid," with Wesley Schultz crediting the band with playing a role in his relationship with Brandy. Other contributors to the album include Brandon Flowers, Dawes, Old Crow Medicine Show, Deer Tick, Nathaniel Rateliff and Bebe Stockwell. "Felice County Fair" is due for release on 16 October via Free Flight Records/Sun Mountain Records.
