The Women’s List Unveils Finalists Highlighting Year’s Best Unproduced Scripts
The Women's List has revealed the finalists for its 2026 Scripts List, an annual initiative that identifies the year's best unproduced screenplays and TV pilots written by women. The exercise matters because it has previously translated into real industry opportunities for participating writers, including script options, agency meetings and interest from major production companies.
Now in its third year, the list has drawn attention from companies such as Taylor Sheridan's Bosque Ranch, Sony's Screen Gems, Big Moody Curve and Gracie Otto's Ralf Films, building on past interest from the Obamas' Higher Ground and Abigail Disney's Level Forward. The 2026 selections span features and hour-long and half-hour pilots across genres, with loglines covering subjects as varied as Taylor Swift fandom, anti-Nazi resistance fighters, the Voyager I mission and an Ozempic-themed horror film. Co-founder Jan Kimbrough said the list "gets sharper and more surprising" each year, with a board that also includes Mia Certic, Christine Luby, Lisa Seidman and Sharon Soboil.
