AC Black Flag: Resynced Keeps on Selling, Now at 3 Million Units
Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced has surpassed three million unit sales in the week since its launch, Ubisoft has confirmed, marking a strong performance for the remake of the beloved 2013 pirate adventure. The milestone matters because Ubisoft's future plans for further Assassin's Creed remakes hinge on how well this one performs, and early sales suggest healthy demand for reviving classic entries in modernised form.
The game sold more than two million copies in its first 24 hours alone, outpacing the launch of the newer Assassin's Creed Shadows, which recorded one million players (not sales) on its opening day. To mark the milestone, Ubisoft is offering players a redemption code for a set of Crimson Storm sails and 1,500 Animus Keys, and has said it's developing a New Game+ mode. The success comes despite Ubisoft Barcelona, one of the studios behind the remake, cutting 51 jobs in recent layoffs, and Push Square's own review scored the game 8/10.
