THEORY OF A DEADMAN Shares ‘Funeral Song’ From Upcoming EP ‘Part 1: Funeral Songs’
Canadian rock band Theory Of A Deadman have released a new single, "Funeral Song", the second track from their forthcoming EP "Part 1: Funeral Songs", due out on 4 September 2026 via ONErpm. Frontman Tyler Connolly described the song as a tongue-in-cheek anthem about wanting a troublesome person to disappear, noting it is the first time the band, despite their name, have actually written a song about a "deadman". The release marks a new chapter for the quartet as they continue a career built on multi-platinum hits and sold-out shows.
The six-track EP will include "Barricade", "Funeral Song", "Winnebago (Lay Low)", "Monster Truck", "Deep End" and "Prenup". The band, comprising Connolly, Dave Brenner, Dean Back and Joe Dandeneau, has previously scored twelve Top 10 hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, including four No. 1 singles, and has been nominated for multiple Juno Awards. They have also announced "The Dead/Seven Tour" with Sevendust, running from 7 August in Duluth, Minnesota, through to 29 September in Bozeman, Montana, with stops including Detroit, Atlanta and Riverside, California.
