Lil Wayne is launching a new weekly podcast, The Joint Venture, alongside WFAN radio host Craig Carton, marking his first major podcast venture since previously hosting Young Money Radio on Apple Music. The show, which begins airing on 22 July, will see the rapper and sports broadcaster discuss sport, pop culture and other topics, drawing on a friendship the pair have built over several years, including Wayne's appearance on Carton's WFAN show in March.

The first episode will be recorded as a live taping at Fanatics Fest NYC on 19 July, with guests including former NFL cornerback Darrelle Revis, ex-NBA forward Amar'e Stoudemire and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning. The launch comes as Wayne continues his tour marking 20 years of Tha Carter, with a Chicago show on 17 July, following his most recent album Tha Carter VI, which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 in June 2025.
