The 2015 folk horror film "The Witch," which launched Anya Taylor-Joy's career, becomes available to stream for free on Plex from 1 September 2026, 11 years after its release. The move gives new audiences access to a film widely credited with establishing both Taylor-Joy as a major talent and Robert Eggers as one of horror's most distinctive directors, ahead of Taylor-Joy's upcoming role in "Dune: Part Three."

Taylor-Joy was just 18 when she starred in "The Witch," a performance still regarded as among her best, and the film earned Eggers a directing award at the Sundance Film Festival. She is set to appear as Alia Atreides in "Dune: Part Three," due for release on 18 December 2026 alongside "Avengers: Doomsday," in a cast that also includes Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, Rebecca Ferguson, Florence Pugh and Jason Momoa. Earlier in 2026, Taylor-Joy also featured in "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie," which grossed over $1 billion at the box office.
