Lisa Frankenstein, the 2024 horror-comedy that has become a cult favourite, is set to arrive on the streaming service Peacock later this month. The film offered a female-led, teenage twist on Mary Shelley's classic tale, with the title character reanimating a corpse and building a romance with him, adding to a long line of pop-culture reinterpretations of Frankenstein.

The film stars Kathryn Newton as Lisa, a grieving teenager adjusting to a new family after her mother's murder, alongside Cole Sprouse as the reanimated "Creature", with Carla Gugino, Joe Chrest and Liza Soberano in supporting roles. Directed by Zelda Williams from a script by Diablo Cody, it is billed as a "coming-of-RAGE love story" and will become available to stream on Peacock from 29 September, having earned a devoted fanbase despite a mixed critical reception on its original release.
