Marvel and Lucasfilm will publish Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles in January 2027, bringing characters from both franchises together to mark Star Wars’ 50th anniversary. The crossover is notable because it fulfils a long-standing fan interest in seeing figures such as Spider-Man and Darth Vader share a comic-book story.

Kevin Smith will write the series, while David Marquez, known for Uncanny X-Men, will provide the artwork. Promotional art includes Marvel characters Doctor Doom, Ultron, Thanos, Venom, Spider-Man and Captain America alongside Star Wars figures including Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo.
