2028 Dem hopeful’s longtime ally exposed for deep ties to CCP officials: ‘Good friends’

Fox News · 1 hour ago

A Fox News Digital investigation has raised questions about Henry Yin, a longtime California businessman and political operative who served as a senior advisor on foreign trade and economic development to Congressman Ro Khanna, a potential 2028 Democratic presidential contender. The investigation found that Yin, who was born in China and raised in Taiwan before settling in the US, has extensive links to Chinese Communist Party-connected figures and organisations, raising concerns given his closeness to Khanna, who has publicly praised him as a "good friend" and thanked him for his "leadership".

Yin built his fortune selling used computer equipment to China and has done business there for more than 25 years, according to a 2011 profile, which noted his strong government connections and role leading trade delegations that helped Chinese firms establish offices in California. He also sat on the California Commission for Economic Development, appointed first by Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2010 and reappointed by Democratic Governor Jerry Brown in 2015, and founded a consulting firm, USA-China-Link, whose clients include companies tied to CCP officials. A China expert cited in the report said Yin has attended at least ten events hosted by United Front groups, including the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, while Facebook posts show Khanna repeatedly socialising with and publicly thanking Yin between 2019 and 2020.
