American Songwriter has published a short list highlighting three standout Led Zeppelin tracks, noting that while the band is best known for "Stairway to Heaven," these songs deserve recognition too, even though not all of them were chart successes. The piece marks the band's enduring legacy, more than 55 years after their 1969 debut, and offers a lighter, nostalgic look back at their catalogue for classic rock fans.

The selections include "Whole Lotta Love" from Led Zeppelin II, the band's first US number one single, co-written with blues musician Willie Dixon and later covered by Tina Turner in 1975. Also featured are "Black Dog," inspired by a stray dog spotted during recording sessions for Led Zeppelin IV, and "Rock and Roll," also from that album, which barely reached the Top 40 despite its lasting popularity and later use in a 2001 Cadillac advertisement.
