Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention's pioneering 1966 debut will be reissued this September with an unprecedented collection of material spanning original remasters, contemporary mixes, and previously unreleased recordings from vault sessions and San Francisco performances. The Super Deluxe Edition bundles 105 tracks across six discs whilst introducing surround sound and Dolby Atmos treatments, supplemented by archival photographs, historical essays, and supplementary visualisation tools.

Multiple physical and digital formats cater to various listening preferences. A premium vinyl package presents the original album alongside live performances and rare material across five records, whilst a more accessible two-record coloured vinyl edition restores the original artwork with updated mastering. Vault curator Joe Travers oversaw the project, drawing from Zappa's extensive archive to contextualise the album's legacy through alternate arrangements and newly discovered session material not previously made public.
