67-Year-Old Country Music Great Shares “Disappointing News” After Being Hospitalized

Country music veteran Radney Foster has postponed his upcoming tour dates until the end of September as he continues to recover from sepsis, a serious infection that first led to his hospitalisation in intensive care in early June. The 67-year-old, best known for his work with duo Foster & Lloyd and a successful solo career, initially resumed a limited touring schedule but has now acknowledged he returned to performing too soon.

In a July 21 Instagram post, Foster told fans he was following his doctors' advice by pausing all shows, explaining that his energy levels remain low and that balance issues make travelling and performing unsafe. He had previously rescheduled shows through 14 July before attempting a comeback, but has since decided a longer recovery period is needed. Foster, who lives in Nashville with his wife and three children, thanked fans for their patience and said he looks forward to returning to the road once fully recovered.
