8 Upcoming Superhero Movies, Ranked by Hype

The article ranks eight upcoming superhero films by fan anticipation, weighing factors such as release timing, available information, casting and perceived potential. It argues that Marvel and DC are enjoying a renewed surge of interest after a weaker period, with major projects on the horizon.

Among the films discussed, Black Panther 3 ranks last, partly because it is not due until 2028 and has few confirmed details, despite Ryan Coogler returning to direct and David Jonsson joining the cast. Avengers: Secret Wars is expected in 2027 but has not begun production, while the newly announced Ghost Rider film has drawn attention with Ryan Gosling starring and Shawn Levy directing. The supplied article text cuts off during its discussion of The Batman Part II, so it does not provide the full ranking.
