9 Unique Apps to Try on the iPhone Duo

The article highlights five of nine apps designed to make distinctive use of the iPhone Duo’s foldable screen and hinge. Their examples range from games that use the two halves as a shared board to camera and study apps that respond to how far the phone is opened.

The apps include Battlefleet Duo, with two free daily battles and a $5 one-time unlimited option; Flipcorder, which records video with VHS or MiniDV effects; and RectoVerso, a $13 flashcard app that reveals answers as the phone opens. PianoFold offers two free chapters and costs $5 for full access, while Toastie costs $3 and has 10 sandwich recipes that are “grilled” by closing the phone.
