Documentary to chart BioWare’s 31-year history and closure next year
A documentary, *Massive Effect: The BioWare Story*, is expected next year, documenting the studio’s 31-year history and its closure by Electronic Arts. Filming began two years before the shutdown, giving the filmmakers a record of BioWare’s final period as well as its earlier years.
Commissioned by Canada’s Super Channel, the film will feature founders Ray Muzyka, Greg Zeschuk and Augustine Yip, alongside developers and figures including *Mass Effect* director Casey Hudson and voice actor Jennifer Hale. Fans can submit photos, videos, cosplay, fan art and other memories; BioWare had about 50 workers and was beginning work on the next *Mass Effect* game when it closed.
