‘A Dog’s Perfect Christmas’ Cast: Meet Ethan Loomis and Brooke Lena Johnson

Netflix released *A Dog’s Perfect Christmas* on 4 November, a family film about a grieving widower and his family trying to find holiday cheer amid a medical scare. The article focuses on how the teenagers Ello and Sean, played by Brooke Lena Johnson and Ethan Loomis, bring a romance and skating storyline to the film.

Johnson plays Ello, who takes on extra family duties while her mother is in hospital and rescues a corgi puppy named Ruby. A professional ice skater who trained for the Olympics, she performed her own skating scenes and helped Loomis learn figure skating; he plays Sean, a hockey player and newcomer at Ello’s school. The cast also includes Dennis Quaid, Milo Ventimiglia and Mary Steenburgen.
