June, a startup co-founded by former Salesforce executive Efrat Rapoport, has emerged from stealth with $20 million in pre-seed funding to tackle a growing problem: even as businesses rush to adopt AI, integrating it with existing enterprise software remains so difficult that companies are hiring armies of specialist "forward-deployed engineers" just to get systems working. June's pitch is that AI itself can be used to fix this bottleneck, automatically diagnosing an organisation's messy legacy data and workflows and generating a step-by-step roadmap to deploy AI agents safely and effectively.

The funding round was led by Marc Benioff's Time Ventures, with additional investors including Michael Dell, Aaron Levie and George Kurtz; the company did not disclose its valuation. Rapoport's team, which previously built and sold voice-to-text firm Bonobo AI to Salesforce, says June scans a company's platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Databricks and Workday to spot bottlenecks and duplicated data, then guides teams through fixing them before building agents to automate the improved processes. One early customer, mortgage lender CMG, reportedly used June to overcome weeks of stalled progress integrating AI coding tools with Salesforce.
