A new God of War game starring Kratos is already officially in development and “directly connects to the events of the Laufey game”
GamesRadar reports that Sony Santa Monica has officially begun developing another God of War game featuring Kratos. The new title is said to connect directly to the events of a forthcoming game centred on Laufey, suggesting the series will continue its Norse storyline while expanding its focus beyond Kratos.
The report attributes the claim to comments made during a presentation, but provides no release window, platforms, gameplay details or formal title for the Kratos game. Laufey is Kratos’s late wife and Atreus’s mother in the Norse-era games, so a project involving her could add background to the family story established in God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök.
