A new retro-inspired game based on Bill & Ted is in development

A retro-inspired Bill & Ted game is in development, bringing the film characters into a side-scrolling arcade-style adventure. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter will voice Bill and Ted, and the game is planned for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch and PC.

Made by Australian studio Art of Play Interactive, the game will support solo play and two-player co-op. Players will recruit historical figures and challenge them to mini-games for their support in Bill and Ted’s history report. A Backerkit campaign is planned for early 2027 to fund the final development stages, with digital and limited physical editions, including SNES-style packaging.
