The Shack, a 2017 fantasy drama starring Tim McGraw, Sam Worthington and Octavia Spencer, is leaving Netflix at the end of September. Its removal matters to viewers because 30 September will be the final day to watch the film on the platform.

Directed by Stuart Hazeldine and co-written by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film follows a grieving man who visits an abandoned shack after receiving a mysterious letter, leading him to confront his faith and tragedy. The film received 20% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes but 76% from audiences, and McGraw is also known for roles in The Blind Side and Taylor Sheridan’s 1883.
