A crew member has indicated that filming on A24’s live-action Elden Ring adaptation, directed by Alex Garland, is nearly complete after several months of production. The milestone moves the high-profile game adaptation into post-production, although its planned 2028 cinema release means substantial visual-effects work is likely still ahead.

Prop maker Sean Schofield shared what appeared to be a wrap gift and a note signed by Garland and the producers, describing six months of work but providing no production details. Set photographs have reportedly shown characters including Queen Marika, the Dung Eater and Sorcerer Rogier, alongside locations resembling Stormveil Castle and Liurnia; A24 has not yet confirmed the filming status. The film was announced in May 2025, has a confirmed cast including Kit Connor, Ben Whishaw and Cailee Spaeny, and is scheduled for release on 3 March 2028.
