Aaron Pierre brings experience from an earlier DC television appearance to his current starring role in Lanterns. Before landing the part of John Stewart in the new series, Pierre worked on the SyFy show Krypton roughly a decade ago, where he portrayed Dev-Em. Though his earlier character differed significantly from his current iconic role, Pierre has acknowledged that the Krypton production provided valuable lessons about navigating complex, large-scale film sets and maintaining character integrity whilst contributing to a broader story.

Pierre's career trajectory demonstrates his progression through increasingly prominent entertainment roles. After his time on Krypton, he moved into other major projects including appearances in films like Mufasa before securing his current position in Lanterns. Looking ahead, he will reprise his Green Lantern character in the Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow and has additional work lined up in Star Wars productions.
