Aaron Sorkin says Jeremy Strong used an intense method-acting approach to play Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Reckoning, the forthcoming sequel to The Social Network. Strong reportedly stayed in character between takes, avoided speaking in his own voice and kept his distance from fellow actors, affecting how the cast interacted with him on set.

The film focuses on the 2021 Facebook leak involving whistleblower Frances Haugen, with Strong replacing Jesse Eisenberg as Zuckerberg. Strong has described feeling a significant responsibility while portraying the Meta chief and even wrote him a letter explaining his respectful approach; the film also stars Jeremy Allen White, Mikey Madison and Wunmi Mosaku, and is due in cinemas on 9 October.
