AARP Celebrated the Power of Music, Reinvention and Legacy at Billboard Latin Music Week 2026

Its events paired salsa veterans with newer performers and recognised Tito Nieves for his lasting contribution to the genre.

AARP also presented Nieves with the Latin Music Legacy Award at Billboard Latin Power Players. Billboard co-chief content officer Leila Cobo cited Luminate data showing that Spanish-language music accounts for one in every 10 streams, twice its share six years ago.
