Ubisoft has released update 1.0.7 for Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced on PS5, delivering a batch of visual tweaks and minor fixes rather than major new content. The update matters mainly to existing players seeking small quality-of-life refinements, and it comes alongside confirmation from Ubisoft that a New Game+ feature is still being developed, though not yet part of this release.

The patch is a 1.53GB download and adds the ability to hide pistols (extending the existing option to hide the blowpipe), removes distracting glint effects from trinket perks, and introduces a new rescuable pet that can later join the player's Hideout. The update was first detailed ahead of its 1st September 2026 release and has now gone live, with the bulk of the changes focused on bug fixes and behind-the-scenes improvements.

Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced is a remastered version of the 2013 pirate-themed instalment in Ubisoft's long-running Assassin's Creed series, brought up to date for current hardware including PS5. As with most modern games, it continues to receive periodic patches after release, tweaking features and fixing problems that players encounter.

Update 1.0.7 is one of these routine patches. It does not add major new content but instead makes smaller adjustments, such as visual options and interface tweaks, aimed at improving the day-to-day experience for people already playing the game.

Ubisoft has also separately confirmed it is working on a New Game+ mode, a common feature in games that lets players replay the story with items and progress carried over from a previous playthrough. This is not included in the current update and remains in development, giving longer-term context for how the game may continue to evolve.
