Adidas has launched a Pokémon collection to celebrate the franchise's 30th anniversary, featuring over 60 themed clothing and footwear items. However, the collection's popularity has been significantly undermined by scalpers purchasing items in bulk and reselling them at inflated prices, making it difficult for genuine fans to obtain merchandise at retail cost.

The collection includes hoodies, T-shirts, sweatpants, and various Adidas shoe models featuring different Pokémon characters. Key pieces are already sold out on the official Adidas website, including the popular Pokémon jacket originally priced at $280, which is being resold on eBay for nearly $500. Most wanted items are being sold for roughly double their retail price, a situation made easier by Adidas's limited anti-scalping measures, including allowing customers to add up to 15 identical items to their cart.
