iZombie, a five-season supernatural crime drama that premiered on The CW in 2015, is now available to stream free on Pluto TV from 1 August. The move gives a wider audience access to a series that blended zombie horror, comedy and procedural mystery, but remained less prominent than other shows from the network’s era.

Rose McIver plays Liv Moore, a Seattle medical resident turned zombie who takes a job at a morgue to obtain brains discreetly. Eating a victim’s brain gives Liv their memories and abilities, helping her and detective Clive Babineaux solve murders, while her colleague Ravi investigates a possible cure; over time, the initially episodic story develops into a broader zombie-outbreak conspiracy.
