Lana Del Rey is an American singer-songwriter known for songs including “Summertime Sadness”. She has released music since the early 2010s, but has made few public concert appearances in Asia.

Singapore’s Formula 1 Grand Prix is a motor race held alongside a three-day music festival. The festival brings international and regional performers to the city, and Del Rey’s appearance was her first major public show in Singapore.

A regional tour would give fans elsewhere in Asia a chance to see her perform, but no such tour has yet taken place. Her past visits to the region have included a small Singapore performance and private events in China.
