Oasis' 1995 hit "Wonderwall" has re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time since its original run nearly three decades ago, after England fans adopted it as an unofficial anthem during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Supporters were filmed singing the song en masse inside stadiums and in the streets following key England wins, with players joining in the celebrations, and the clips spread widely online, exposing the Britpop classic to a new generation of listeners.

The song re-entered the chart at No. 27, driven by 8.7 million US streams in the latest tracking week, a 73% jump on the previous week, alongside a 41% rise in radio audience and digital downloads more than doubling. It last featured on the Hot 100 during its original 20-week chart run in 1996. The revival caps a strong year for Oasis, following their reunion, induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and an upcoming documentary, Don't Look Back in Anger, due in cinemas on 11 September. Noel Gallagher welcomed the renewed popularity, telling The Sun that "Wonderwall" belongs to the fans and calling the singalongs "a magical moment between the people and the players".
