A 63-year-old man has been found guilty of harassing Labour MP Stella Creasy after he blocked her from leaving a Tube carriage, shouted at her about knife crime and her "failings" as an MP, and filmed her until other passengers intervened. Clifford Wilby, from east London, had previously been cut off from a Zoom call with Ms Creasy in 2024 after becoming abusive when she said she could not discuss a constituent's case with him.

The incident occurred on 15 July last year on a Victoria Line train between Walthamstow Central and Finsbury Park, where Wilby recognised Ms Creasy, stood up and blocked her exit, and loomed over her while she was backed against the carriage door. Fellow passengers, alarmed by his escalating behaviour, stepped in to shield her, telling him to stop and that his conduct amounted to harassment, before Ms Creasy was able to leave the carriage. The case was heard at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
